It's time to start planning...
Dream Machine set times are here!
After making serious noise in the Australia club scene with their interactive DJ set and lavish outfits, the GC boys landed themselves a few big festival slots that quickly turned the DJ set into a multi-layered Disco experience. Since then, they've gone on to sell out venues around the country in the form of 'Groove City's DiscoDeluxe'.Groove City has solidified themselves as a one-stop-shop for generating studio 54-esque dancefloors, and curating the vibe of the party as soon as they walk through the door.
Harvey Sutherland wrote his debut album “Boy” in a circular loop between his studio and his psychotherapist. A hypermodern groove, guided by his obsessional traits and habits, ending up in a place he describes as neurotic funk. “Electronic music has that archetype of the brooding, faceless producer”, he says, “I like hacking that, doing the opposite, embracing awkwardness and oversharing”. His face is on the cover.
The Melbourne-born record producer, keyboard player, club DJ and bandleader made a name amongst his hometown’s electronic underground with a string of cult disco singles and lo-fi cassette funk. Early 12-inches like “Bermuda” and “Priestess” were dance records in love with the sound of soul and disco music. But “Boy” is every bit the real deal.
His machine grooves are fired through a prism of crate-digging influences, from Todd Rundgren to Basic Channel and back again. His distinctive synthesiser tones have graced remixes and production for Disclosure, Khruangbin, Genesis Owusu and BadBadNotGood. A seasoned performer, he’s taken his live band to Glastonbury, dragged his Juno-60 into Berghain and turned the Melbourne Recital Centre into a full-fledged nightclub for his album launch. He is eclectic, obsessional and groovy. Harvey Sutherland is Neurotic Funk.
Since first launching his time-travelling, ‘dance-through-the-decades’ audio-visual party concept in 2011, Sydney’s Tom Lowndes has grown Hot Dub Time Machine into an absolute monster.
This Australian DJ, who showcases songs from every decade and genre of music, has been welcomed by international audiences with open arms.
He pinpoints the happiest moments of your partying days past, and re-creates those moments to perfection for you all over again, intertwining them with the right here and the right now in the most exhilarating way possible.
Hot Dub Time Machine consistently delivers stellar live performances that are near impossible not to enjoy. It’s the Best. Party. Ever!
Leaning into the unknown and embracing new sonic inspirations has long been a source of fuel for multi-Platinum selling artist, ILLY.
His versatility as a songwriter and performer has seen the artist grow from Australian hip hop champion, through to one of the country’s most in-demand and dynamic pop artists today. That crossover success established ILLY as one of Australian hip hop’s integral triumphs; along with the Hilltop Hoods, bringing the genre to widespread – and maintained – mainstream success.
The music ILLY creates today is done so with reinvigorated confidence for the craft. Recent writing sessions with DMA’S songwriter Johnny Took and Peking Duk’s Reuben Styles have birthed ‘Like You’ – the first new piece of music from ILLY to break open his forthcoming seventh studio album. The single, buoyed by vocal harmonies layered over a slick pairing of EDM and a driving acoustic guitar, never loses its sense of self-awareness or fun.
With a new ILLY record on the horizon, this story continues; driven by new inspirations and that pure instinct that has only seen him go from strength to strength, time will tell just how far this next era will take him.
Formed in 2010 after an epic, two-week-long house party – which saw fresh faced teenagers bond over beers, cheers, tunes and partying – Melbourne six-piece Northeast Party House are back with their first taste of new music in over 2 years ‘Magnify’.
Produced by Northeast Party House and Kim Moyes (The Presets), the single is a dance anthem built around a soaring guitar hook that calls to club floors and festival fields.
Magnify attempts to “capture that moment with someone where your feelings are intensifying, and you crave that security of knowing they feel the same way” says guitarist Mitch Ansell.
San Cisco are a three-piece indie pop group from Fremantle, Western Australia. Set to an upbeat indie-pop groove on the cusp of innocence and heartbreak, this is where San Cisco lives. ‘Awkward’. ‘Too Much Time Together’. ‘About You’. Lovesick calls gone to voicemail and endless pondering of what went wrong.
Between You and Me is the fourth album by the indie trio from Fremantle released in late 2020. It was an album two years and at least one sadly remembered love affair in the making. Featuring leading singles ‘When I Dream’, ‘Skin’, festival anthem ‘Reasons’ and ‘On The Line’, it’s clear that the Hottest 100-heavy record Between You and Me tells a widescreen story of loss and letting go.
Throughout their illustrious ten year career, they have become one of Australia’s most successful independent artists amassing multiple accolades, millions of streams and critical acclaim through the release of four studio albums and have toured the world selling out headline shows and appearing at festivals such as Splendour In The Grass, Lollapalooza, Reading & Leeds and many more.
Fremantle indie rock foursome Spacey Jane have cemented their position as one of Australia's most-loved bands.
Their debut album Sunlight, released in June 2020, entered the ARIA chart at No.2. Four tracks would be voted into triple j's Hottest 100 including fan-favourite “Booster Seat” landing at No.2, just behind Glass Animals' "Heat Waves”. “Booster Seat” would also soar into the ARIA Top 10 singles chart, achieving platinum sales while the band have accumulated over 88 million streams to date. The band - front man Caleb Harper, guitarist Ashton Hardman-Le Cornu, bassist Peppa Lane and drummer/manager Kieran Lama - spent the first half of 2021 finally getting to play sold-out COVID safe shows across the East Coast of Australia.
As soon as borders open, they’ll be heading overseas to play their first live shows to an ever-expanding fanbase around the world. In the midst of recent touring, Spacey Jane have managed to find time to write and record in the studio - keep an ear out for new music, coming very soon.
Hailing from Sydney, the Korean-Australian rap crew transcends genre and illuminates the voice of Asian artists whilst reshaping the Aussie hip-hop landscape.
Composed of rappers rako, goyo, rapper-singer-dancer DALI HART, producer-singer Nerdie and producer pokari.sweat, the group subsume the sounds of abrasive Soundcloud rap, sweat-doused electronic music and the feverish pace of 90’s breakbeat.
Following the success of their first few singles, ‘Brr’, ‘No Caller ID’, ‘Smashmouth’, ‘Oldboy’ and ‘Rocksta’, as well as their latest full-length mixtape release ‘Foreign Language’ whilst accompanied by captivating music videos, 1300 have amassed local and international praise.
With one foot in Korea and the other in Western Sydney, 1300’s music embodies the abundant possibilities that emerge when you have to find your own way, existing between and across cultures.
Staying power is the type of power few artists can manage to successfully retain.
For Sydney’s Boy & Bear however, theirs is a legacy that has continued to flourish thanks to a committed approach to their craft, and consecutive releases that have had the ability to strike a chord with audiences worldwide.
Forming in 2009, as Australian indie music was enjoying an early apex with fans and industry alike, Boy & Bear grew from a solo project for songwriter Dave Hosking, into a fully-fledged musical project that would see Hosking’s initial idea become home to Killian Gavin, Tim and Jon Hart, Jake Tarasenko and Dave Symes.
The success of 2011’s Moonfire would set an early precedent for Boy & Bear in terms of musical impact, though it was just the beginning when it came to creative frontiers the band was yet to cross.
Boy & Bear’s career has gone on to earn them two #1 ARIA charting albums, multiple world tours, as well as performances at some iconic Australian venues and festivals.
Australian music has never been more ready for Boy & Bear; there hasn’t been a more perfect time for their charismatic and uniquely warm and enveloping presence to return.

Drew Carmody, better known by his stage name L D R U, is an Australian DJ and record producer. His first single, "The Tropics", was released in 2013. L D R U is best known for the single "Keeping Score" featuring Paige IV. The track reached No. 14 on the Australian ARIA Charts and No. 22 on Triple J Hottest 100, 2015, and was nominated for a 2016 ARIA Award for Best Dance Release and for Breakthrough Artist. LDRU embarked on a capital cities tour of Australia in July 2016. His first studio album, Sizzlar, peaked at No. 66 on the ARIA Charts.
Fun fact: The name L D R U derives from the phrase "left, down, right, up", a part of a cheat code used in the Grand Theft Auto series of games.
Just in time for the grand re-opening of Australia’s dance floors and festival stages, Peking Duk, the dance music duo made up of Canberra natives Adam Hyde and Reuben Styles, are back with brand new music that builds on their back catalogue of absolute bangers.
With a discography that features platinum single after platinum single – from the ARIA Award-winning, four-times platinum single ‘High’ to the triple-platinum witching hour anthem ‘Stranger’ ft. Swedish artist Elliphant (2016), and ‘Fake Magic’ (2017) – the Peking Duk boys have unabashedly earned themselves a reputation as Australia’s most beloved, most bonkers electronic music act.
2021’s ‘Chemicals’ is an anthem Australia’s post-Covid festivals should be warned about, because, to use the preferred terminology of Reuben Styles himself, ‘hooley dooley’ it’s going to go off. And after a year of no dancing, we can’t imagine those crazy Peking Duk fans leaving anything on the floor.
And just like their fans, after being deprived of a sweaty band room for quite some time, the Duks are locked, loaded and ready to remind us what immersing ourselves in a true party anthem feels like. Buckle up.
Sideboob, made up of Krissy Jaman (GER) and Ellie Daniel (AUS), are making a rumble in the industry with what proportion of upper body adipose tissue they have.
Don’t let the name deceive you, these girls are influenced by speaker shaking deep techno bass lines with melodic rhythms, producing festival worthy ear-porn for anyone that listens.
Their mantra – to educate the audience into a trance of mindless deep techno and tech sounds, has been heard across many dancefloors and festivals, such as Lost Paradise, Wine Machine, NYE in the Park and Rabbits Eat Lettuce Festival.
Australian producer, DJ, and vocalist Stace Cadet is creating some of the most tempo-raising dance music in the electronic world right now. Born Stasi Kotaras, the Adelaide-based artist has made a name for himself by creating music that promotes a joyous, euphoric experience. He celebrates dance music for what it is at its very core - a collision of music and human movement.
‘Energy’ has continued to notch up accolades since its release. It currently boasts over 25 million streams worldwide and an ARIA Platinum certification, ‘Energy' was then also awarded the No.1 ARIA Club record for 2020. These were just some of the highlights that capped off a stacked 2020 for Stace Cadet. ‘Energy’ was also nominated for an ARIA Award for Best Dance Release. To cap it all off ‘Energy’ landed itself at 21 in triple j's hottest 100, an incredible feat! Safe to say ‘Energy’ was one of the biggest Australian records last year. It’s not just Australia who’ve been getting a burst of energy from Stace Cadet. ‘Energy’ has been labeled a ‘Future Anthem’ by BBC Radio 1 with spins from Pete Tong & MistaJam, also hitting #1 on the UK Cool Cuts chart.
With the teams at Medium Rare Recordings & Sony behind him Stace Cadet is gearing up for a year of more releases and touring - capitalising on a ground breaking 2020. Houston, no problem here - lets’s dance!
Australia's Celia Pavey, better known as Vera Blue, is a lyrical singer/songwriter who combines her love of folk music with moody electronica.
Born in 1994 in Forbes, Australia, Pavey grew up listening to classic folk and pop music of the '60s and '70s while spending time surrounded by nature in her horticulturalist father's nursery. By her teens she was a gifted performer who could sing and play guitar and violin.
Despite her initial success, Pavey was restless to try something different and incorporate other influences into her sound. After meeting sibling producers Andy and Thom Mak, she began writing new material and experimenting with mixing her folk style with atmospheric beats and electronics. To mark the change in her approach, she adopted the stage name Vera Blue and in 2016 released the EP Fingertips. A year later, she delivered her sophomore full-length album Perennial. On the heels of her success, Pavey collaborated with Flume on the song "Rushing Back," which hit number 12 on Billboard's Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart. She also toured heavily, headlining her own shows as well as supporting both Flume and Maggie Rogers.

Girl Talk (aka Pittsburgh's Gregg Gillis) has been constructing meticulous sample-based music since 2000. His early work was known for its raw experimental nature, but by the release of his 2006 album, Night Ripper, that style evolved into genre-smashing, breakneck-paced party jams. Night Ripper consisted of over 300 songs, from wildly disparate Top 40 genres and eras, mashed up and layered together into one cohesive collage. It received critical acclaim, and the attention resulted in a rapidly growing fan base. Gillis ended up quitting his biomedical engineering day job one year later.
Girl Talk continued to develop his signature style with the release of Feed the Animals in 2008 and All Day in 2010. Each album grew increasingly detailed and complex. He steadily toured over the following years, bringing his renowned confetti-covered and sweat-soaked performances to venues ranging from house party basements to major festivals. By 2014, Gillis began focusing on collaborative work producing hip hop for some of his favorite rap artists. That same year, he released "Broken Ankles," an EP with Freeway. Since "Broken Ankles," Gillis has steadily earned an impressive list of production credits and collaborations with his artistic contemporaries including, but not limited to, Wiz Khalifa, T-Pain, Tory Lanez, Young Nudy, Bas, Cozz, Erick The Architect (from Flatbush Zombies), Smoke DZA, and Don Q.
Despite their name, Australian rock band Holy Holy hold no affiliation to any organization, but they can carry a song into the heavens.
Formed by Brisbane vocalist Timothy Carroll and Melbourne guitarist Oscar Dawson, the band came into being over years and continents. The guys first met in Southeast Asia during volunteer teaching travels, and then reconnected in 2011 in Europe, where Carroll was gigging as a singer/songwriter in Stockholm and Dawson was in Berlin with his then-band, Dukes of Windsor.
Upon their separate returns to Australia, they decided to make it official. Ryan Strathie joined on drums, Graham Ritchie on bass, and producer Matt Redlich provided synth support. Holy Holy released their first single, "Impossible Like You," in early 2014 and their four-song debut EP, The Pacific, soon followed. A year later they released their debut album, When the Storms Would Come, a ten-song collection of expansive, guitar-based soundscapes in the vein of Mark Knopfler or CSNY.
Riding on the radio success of their massive single "You Cannot Call for Love Like a Dog," they sold out shows and toured Australia and Europe. In 2016, the band returned with "Darwinism," which was included on their sophomore effort. Paint arrived in 2017 and peaked in the Top Ten of the Australian album charts.
Sasha McLeod (born 2002), known professionally as Sycco, is an Australian singer-songwriter and producer from Brisbane. She was nominated for Triple J Unearthed Artist of the Year in 2020, having released the pop singles "Nicotine" and "Dribble" in the same year.
In March 2022, Sycco released "Superstar". Of the song, Sycco said “I’m really proud of this song... the lyrics are satirical obviously – I used to work at a grocery store and it was fun to imagine a glowed-up future me having a tantrum in there."
In September 2022, Sycco released "Ripple" with Flume. In a press release, Sycco said the track was "really fun" to make and "came together super quickly". Sycco said Flume and Chrome Sparks "did such a great job on the production", developing what she describes as "a beautiful environment of synths and drums that evoke such a nice feeling of ease but also discomfort at points".

ARIA double-platinum six-piece Sydney collective Winston Surfshirt have spent the past six years establishing themselves as one of Australia’s, and the world’s, finest R&B-soul outfits. Building a dedicated fanbase off the back of two dreamy albums and a handful of unforgettable collaborations, they’re a group of unassuming cult heroes making music that’s old-school in feel and modern in style. Led by the eponymous Winston Surfshirt, the band channel a vintage kind of rock stardom, one led less by ego than by openness, earnestness, and a drive to share their music with the world.
Breaking through with 2017’s “Be About You”, Winston Surfshirt have gone on to release multi-platinum singles and sell out tours across Australia and Europe. Across their two indelible full-lengths — 2017’s Sponge Cake and 2019’s Apple Crumble — they’ve built a catalog of warm, impeccably produced hits, winning praise from Zane Lowe and, amazingly, Sir Elton John, the latter of whom called them his “favourite band of the moment”.
In 2022, fans will finally get to hear the band’s long-awaited third record ‘Panna Cotta’, out November 11. The latest single ‘Of Another Kind’ features neo-90s Sydney based artist Milan Ring and local rapper Jerome Farah to add their unique abilities to Winston’s jazzed up and smoky melodies. As sharp yet hypnotic lashings of brass cut through a syncopated intro, husky verses from Winston and Milan match the rolling, bombastic flows of Jerome Farah. Starring the classic Winston Surfshirt accompaniment of organic percussion and warm textures, “Of Another Kind” is an easy and inviting listen.
